The Orbimat product range has been furthered with an Orbi-Logic option available on the Orbimat 160C orbital welding power supplies, which allows the machine to be run from a 110V or 230 V supply with no changes required to power the supply. When swapping voltages, the only change needed is the input plug. When the machine is connected to the main supply, the Orbimat 160C will detect the voltage that is used and make the necessary adjustments for that voltage for the hardware requirements and the system software to suit the voltage being used. If an operator selects a program that is out of range for the input voltage being used, then a warning message will be displayed and it will not allow the procedure. With the OrbiLogic in place, wrong voltage cannot damage the machine, and there are not switches or jumpers to be changed when changing the power supply. The system also has a visual indicator to allow the operator to identify the supply voltage of the power supply in use.
