Tip loss sensors
DeltaPoint
electronic leak detectors sense tip loss in resistance welding
cells by comparing the total inflow and outflow of cooling water to
the cell. The units compare flows, detect tip loss, and monitor
flow temperatures of up to 13 welding guns, robotic work-cells, or
non-robotic hand tooling. This helps maintain weld-ing-cell
efficiency and minimizes equipment failures. The leak detectors
feature pairs of vortex shedding flowmeters that require minimal
maintenance, are not affected by dirt in water, and have no moving
parts to clog, wear, or repair. A Sur-Fault feature ensures the
DeltaPoints operate only with water flow and signal any fault in
the flow. The detectors require no setup, use AC or DC, and provide
NPN, PNP, SSR, or DeviceNet fault outputs. Some models accommodate
cooling flow of 12 gallon/min to 1 and 1 /2 gallon/min
or a range of 3 gallon/min to 0.4 gallon/min.
