Welder/Generator
The GAW-135H
and GAW-180HE welder/generators are light and compact power
sources. They provide arc welding characteristics and consistent
performance. The GAW-135H combines 135 A of DC welding power and
1.5 kW AC output. With a dry weight of only 1,110 lbs., the unit is
up to 45 percent lighter than other welders. It is easily
transported around the job site and fits into small areas. The
welder can be mounted to service trucks or on high reach baskets,
and is ideal for different utility welding applications. A
six-position dial with settings of 40, 60, 80, 100, 115, and 135 A
controls the unit. Fueled by a 5.5 HP Honda GX-200 gasoline engine,
the unit has arc characteristics normally associated with larger
machines. The GAW-180HE is a 180 A welder, 3kW generator
combination. The unit is engineered with a permanent magnet
alternator to reduce the machine's weight to 242 lbs. An 11 HP
Honda GX-340 gasoline engine powers the unit. It has an adjustable
current range from 50 to 180 A. A 20 A GFCI receptacle and 30-twist
lock receptacle are provided for operator convenience. The unit's
arc force control feature lets the operator fine tune DC current
during low voltage welding conditions in addition to preventing
electrodes from sticking during short arc length welding. Standard
features on both models include wing nut connections for the
welding cables, idle control, and for operator safety, low oil shut
down.
