Flux Vector AC Motor
The SECO SV3000
AC adjustable speed flux vector drive performs like a DC drive but
can be used with machines driven by conventional AC drives. Its
design allows precise control of the speed and torque of an AC
induction motor. The rugged motor is available from 1 to 350 HP
with open and closed loop models available. Among its features are:
a redesigned, more compact package; rugged NEMA 4/12 enclosures
through 40 HP; line fuses as standard through 100 HP, full torque
at zero speed; easy installation and programming; applications
specific firmware; and five-year warranty through 40 HP.

Start-up is a press-of-a-button, yet security codes limit access. The drive features a help feature to simplify parameter adjustment. If a fault should develop, a plain language read-out assists in diagnosing the problem. Programmable I/O and multiple communication formats make the SV3000 easy to integrate into any process control or manufacturing applications. Optional firmware packages tailor the drive to applications such as tension control, digital line-shaft, and center-driven winders. It also accepts feedback directly as part of a coordinated drive system eliminating costly, time-consuming customer engineering. The versatility makes it ideal for many applications including wire and cable, packaging/converter, material handling, meal forming, textiles, food processing, and web handling.
