The Tiger tube and pipe welding station was designed for the pre-fabrication of tube and pipe work. The station incorporates a tube/pipe clamp, which is located on the Easi-Glide X-Y slide. The clamp also rotates to allow 45° and 90° elbows to be welded to tube lengths. The headstock uses an internal purging and clamping mechanism, which allows for tubes to be welded to fittings or even allows fittings to be welded to elbows. As well as clamping the tube and fitting, the internal clamping system will also remove any slight ovality from the tube and produce a perfect joint fit-up. The headstock can be fitted with studs when producing tube with bolted flanges to give perfect alignment of the bolt holes to make fitting easy on site. The station makes it easy for a single operator to handle 6 m lengths of tube or pipe during the welding operation.
