A new, compact high-capacity vacuum lifter for steel, stone, granite and similar heavy lifting applications requiring a small footprint has been introduced by Anver Corp. (www.anver.com). The Anver E4000M16 Vacuum Lifter is of all-welded steel construction with double spring suspensions, so that each of the eight square vacuum pads is applied to the load with equal force, and accommodating variations in the load surface. With a 40,000-lb capacity and an 8-ft × 10-ft footprint, the lifter has remote controls that can be fully integrated with an overhead crane.

Equipped with a 78-cfm pump, motors, reservoir tanks, and an audio-visual alarm system, the lifter has a safety interlock switch that prevents the release of a load until the unit has been lowered completely. Each suction pad can be individually controlled to correspond with the load configuration.
