Inductoheat, Inc. of Madison Hts., Mich., (www.induct-oheat.com) has developed a transistorized induction power supply that the company says can be configured to replace gaspowered technologies for galvanealing processes.
The company said its Inductoheat Statitron power supply accommodates a variety of power supplies and zone lengths.
In an example, Inductoheat says a 3-megawatt, solid-state Statitron provided 1,050-degrees F of heat to galvaneal a 60-in. wide, 0.0280-in. thick steel sheet.
The company said its equipment is more than 85 percent efficient, reduces energy costs and requires a less floor space than comparable, gasfueled systems.
The Statitron system comprises of three primary components including a Statitron induction power supply, a water system and an induction coil.
