Power supply produces smooth arc

According to the manufacturer, the Ranger 250 gives contractors, maintenance and repair shops, owner-operators, and welders easy arc starting, smooth arc action, low spatter levels and high-quality bead appearance. The unit provides a 250-amp DC output at 100% duty cycle for stick and TIG welding and a 275-amp CV output at a 60% duty cycle for MIG and flux-cored arc welding. It also delivers 9,000-W-peak and 8,500-W-continuous AC auxiliary-generator power for tools, lights, and plasma cutters. It comes with a Robin/Subaru 20.5 hp gasoline engine and offers four welding modes: stick for general-purpose welding; downhill-pipe mode for stick welding on pipe; touch start TIG; and CV-wire mode for cored-wire and MIG welding.
