Penton’s Welding Magazine has launched a new websites that brings the immediacy of the Internet video experience to machining and manufacturing.

www.WeldingTheatre.com is designed as a focused website to provide — free of charge to anyone — informative, educational and fun videos on all aspects of welding and welding equipment.

Educational videos that show how to operate, set-up or provide maintenance to welding equipment, commercial videos that equipment manufacturers provide to demonstrate what their machines can do, and videos that show the capabilities of welding shops and fabrication operations all will be featured on the site.

Similarly, videos that show automation equipment, shop operations, or other processes associated with running a successful welding shop are welcomed and will be featured on the site.

In addition, videos that show creative or unusual uses for welding and welding equipment, workholding or fixturing tools, and other shop equipment also will be featured. A recent Editor’s Choice video focused on the creative use of a cutting torch for what might’ve been Thanksgiving dinner. It’s not something, however, that you ought to try at home.

The sites will be thoroughly linked to the Welding Magazine website, www.weldingmag.com, so that web surfers can move from one to the other effortlessly.

The site was quietly launched in April, and is being joined with the June launch of two similar websites — www.MachineToolTheater.com and www.CuttingToolTheater.com —devoted to the machine tool industry. Those sites are operated by Welding Magazine’s sister publication, American Machinist.

Complete details on how videos can be posted are available at the websites.
