To increase flowrate capacity of gas supply systems Witt USA now offers a T-piece kit for parallel connection of flashback arrestors with lower flow rates. The kit allows trouble-free combination of the series 85-10 flashback arrestors in parallel mode by using a set of T-pieces. This method allows almost double the gas flow rate to be achieved.

The company said this solution not only offers financial benefits, it increases flexibility: if the user needs only temporarily increased gas flow volumes, the installed T-piece kit can help to achieve higher work productivity without any great effort. Last but not least, space restrictions in a gas system are an important factor.

Flashback arrestors protect from accidents with technical gases in the event that a fault occurs in the gas supply. They are used at the outlet stations of manifolds and individual cylinders, but also can be installed at the handles of welding torches.

Witt offers flashback arrestors tested by the Germany's Federal Institute for Material Research and Testing (Bundesanstalt für Material-forschung und -prüfung, or BAM.) They are compact, can be installed in any position and offer triple protection: The integrated flame arrestor stops any flashbacks, the temperature sensitive cut-off valve extinguishes sustained flashbacks long before the temperature reaches dangerous levels, and the non-return valve prevents the forming of slow or sudden reverse gas flows.
