Bernard Welding Equipment (www.bernardwelds.com) introduced conversion adapters and gas diffusers that the company says allows its Centerfire contact tips and nozzles to be used on all major MIG gun brands. Tools are not needed to change the "drop-in" contact tips. Centerfire is available in a variety of nozzle orifice sizes, that range from ¹/2-in. to ³/4-in. diameters. Brass or copper tapered-nozzles are available in large or small sizes. Contact tips are designed to accommodate wire from 0.023-in. to ¹/8-in. diameter. The company says the tips increase electrical conductivity and heat transfer, and are available with built-in spatter shields that protect the gas diffusers.
