Select-Arc Inc. (www.select-arc.com) introduced a gasshielded, flux-cored, carbon steel electrode designed to weld steels that require a minimum tensile strength of 70,000 psi. The company says Select 711 has good arc drive and bead shape and a positive, smooth and stable arc transfer with low spatter. Electrode diameters are 0.035 in., 0.045. in., 0.052 in. and 1/16 in.
