McKay Tube-Alloy AP-O self-shielding, flux-cored wire from Hobart Brothers Co. (www.hobartbrothers.com) is formulated for hard surfacing applications and for applications with higher chromium content than standard austenitic manganese filler metals. The company says the wire works well for build-up and overlay on austenitic manganese steel and for welding on carbon and low alloy steels.
