Thermacut Inc. says its Field use shows Super-Life Electrodes' silver-wrapped, hafnium inserts improve cooling. The company says improved heat dispersion and a protective barrier against copper breakdown helps the electrode to increases start-ups and reduce change-outs. Typical electrodes for low-amperage, high-definition plasma cutting have direct contact between the hafnium insert and copper electrode body, where breakdown of the copper is common.
