The tubular Excel Arc 71 is a gas-shielded, flux-cored, carbon-steel wire well-suited for bridging on poor fitups. It tackles general-purpose fabrication and structural steel and heavy equipment applications for all-position welding using a shielding gas mixture of 100% CO2 or 75% Ar/25% CO2. The wire produces a spray-type transfer, while reducing fumes and spatter on mild and low alloy steel applications.
