McKay VertiWire 600 gasshielded flux-cored wires are for hardfacing mild and low-alloy steel components prone to moderate abrasive wear and medium to high impact. The wire deposits a crack-free, multipur-pose martensitic-steel alloy with a hardness of 55 to 60 Rc. It is best-suited for build-up or overlay on austenitic manganese steel or for joining austenitic manganese steel to manganese, carbon, or low-alloy steel. The wire can be used for multiple-layer deposits and operates with DCEP (reverse polarity) power.
