Laserdyne Systems names North American sales manager

Carl Bryant has been named North American sales manager for Laserdyne Systems, a unit of Prima North America, Inc.

Bryant was promoted from his position as regional sales manager, which he held since 1999.

In his new position, Bryant will manage all of the company’s sales activities for the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Latin America.

“Carl’s new responsibilities are part of our strategic goal of growing the business for Laserdyne products in North America,” Terry L. VanderWert, president of the company, said.

Bryant has more than 20 years of experience in industrial laser system sales and application development. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and robotics.

Prima North America is the North American subsidiary of Prima Industrie SpA of Torino, Italy.

 

Bystronic appoints sales engineer for Carolina Territory

Bystronic appointed Curtis Frabotta to Sales Engineer assigned to the South-East regional sales territory. With prior experience in cutting applications and capital equipment sales; Frabotta joins Bystronic as of January 2008 as Sales Engineer responsible for the North and South Carolina territories. Frabotta will report directly to the South-East Regional Sales Manager. Frabotta holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Bystronic Inc. provides laser cutting, waterjet cutting and press brake systems, system software and customer training and support.

 

Praxair names distributor marketing manager, East Region

Howard Luna has been named distributor marketing manager for the East Region of Praxair’s North American Industrial Gases business unit.

Previously he was the senior account manager for the company’s South East Region.

Luna succeeds Ben Crawford, who has retired.

In his new position, Luna will be responsible for the East Region’s independent distributor strategy, key growth initiatives and marketing support. He will work with both bulk and cylinder-gases customers, and will provide strategic direction and relationship management.

During his 26 years with Praxair, Inc., Luna held a variety of sales and marketing positions.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of New Orleans.

 

Tregaskiss appoints regional business manager for Western Canada

Tregaskiss has hired Norm Greenlay as regional business manager for Western Canada.

He reports to Darren Grey, director of Canadian sales.

Greenlay has more than 20 years of experience.
