The Lincoln Electric Co. (www.lincolnelectric.com) has upgraded its Precision TIG 275 and Precision TIG 375 industrial arc welding power sources. The Precision TIG machines both feature Micro-Start II technology for stable low-amperage starting wi thout a lot of high frequency or material burnthrough for AC and DC welding. The uni t s have added selectable DC TIG starting modes, such as high frequency, scratch start, and Touch Start TIG. Both have higher duty cycles, with wider current ranges, redesigned controls and new and improved AC Auto Balance for more penetration and improved bead appearance. The Precision TIG 275 is designed for aerospace, production, motorsports, or vocational education applications, while the Precision TIG 375 is best for precise arc performance.

 



End prep tool

E SCO Tool (www.escotool.com) has introduced an inside-diameter clamping end-prep tool with an operat ing range from 1.5-in. I.D. to 8.625-in. O.D. and can bevel any degree of angle on hard alloys. The Esco Prepzilla Mi l lhog I .D. Clamping End Prep Tool features one mandrel that handles tubes and pipes with only eight sets of interchangeable clamps. Providing single point attachment, this tool is capable of producing preps on all wall thicknesses at any angle and is suited for Super Duplex stainless steel and other hard alloys. Supplied as a complete kit, with all clamp ribs and pads for the working range of the tool, the tool includes a hose with a filter, lubricator, and a metal carrying case.
