The Wall Colmonoy Aerospace Group has names Rick Rackley director of quality. The Wall Colmonoy Aerospace Group comprises operations in Oklahoma City, Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio. Wall Colmonoy is based in Madison Heights, Mich.

Rackley had 17 years of experience in quality management before he joined the Wall Colmonoy Aerospace Group, and has been the quality manager and safety officer for the company’s Oklahoma City facility for the past seven years. The company said Rackley was instrumental in obtaining ISO 9001:200 certification for its Oklahoma City facility.

The Wall Colmonoy Aerospace Group operates two FAA repair stations, and manufactures high-temperature, nickel-based brazing and coating alloys.





Lincoln Electric names Vice President for North American Sales

Michael S. Mintun was elected vice president of sales for North America for The Lincoln Electric Co., effective January 1, 2008.

He will have responsibility for Lincoln’s U.S. and Canadian sales organizations. His previous position was sales manager for North America.

“Mike has done an outstanding job growing Lincoln’s customer base and building strong relationships with key distributor partners,” John M. Stropki, chairman and chief executive officer said. “Under Mike’s leadership, the company has had record sales in the U.S. in each of the last four years. His technical ability and welding industry experience have added to Lincoln’s leadership position.”

Mintun joined Lincoln Electric in 1984 as a Sales Trainee. After his training, he was assigned as a technical sales representative in the company’s New York and Pittsburgh district offices. He advanced through a number of positions of increasing responsibility within the sales organization.

In 1996, he was named district manager of Lincoln’s Southwest Ontario district in Canada. He was named national accounts manager for the U.S. in 1997, and in 2000 was appointed vice president of sales for Lincoln Electric Canada.

In 2002, he was named national sales manager for the U.S., and in 2006, was promoted to his current position.

Mintun earned a Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgy and material engineering from Lehigh University. He also completed the global business development leadership program at the Thunderbird Garvin School of International Management.

In 2006, he received the Distinguished Marketing & Sales Award from the Sales & Marketing Executives of Cleveland (SME) organization.

Mr. Mintun is a member of the American Welding Society and the Gases and Welding Distributors Association.

Separately, Lincoln Electric expanded its sales and marketing team with the following promotions:

• Bruce Chantry to the position of product manager for advances welding equipment. He has been with the company for 12 years, and recently completed a six-year assignment as its regional manager for Sub-Saharan Africa.

• Nahanni Nagle to the position of regional manager for Sub-Saharan Africa. He has been with the company for 13 years, and is based in Midrand, South Africa.

• Deanna Postlethwaite to the new position of product manager for the company’s automation division. She has been with the company since 2004, and is based in Cleveland.





CMW names controller

CMW Inc. has named Stephen P. Schelonka as its company controller.

He will have responsibilities for corporate financial reporting, financial planning and budgeting, and he will oversee the company’s management information systems.

Previously, Schelonka was division controller for IMMI, a materials company based in Indianapolis, where he had responsibilities for accounts payable, model cost development and product costing. Before joining IMMI, he was a senior consultant for Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Schelonka has a Master of Business Administration from Butler University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame. He is a certified public accounting in Indiana.

CMW formerly was Mallory Metallurgical Co. The 91-year-old company is based in Indianapolis. It produces highly-engineered metal alloys and composites that are used in a wide range of industrial applications. The company also produces resistance welding consumables, and has business units dedicated to arc-tolerant electrical contacts and high-density materials.
