CGW-Camel Grinding Wheels (www.cgwheels.com) expanded its line of U.S.-made flap discs with the introduction of Z-Flex flap discs.
The company said the new line is more flexible than standard flap discs, and are engineered for quick grinding on contoured work pieces, such as metal railings and tubes.
The discs are made from premium zirconia grain and X-weight cotton backing. They are designed to fracture easily for faster cutting and longer life.
There are 12 flap discs in the line, and they are stocked in 4 in. diameter. They are available in 40, 60 and 80 grit sizes, and in type 27 or type 29 shapes, with either 7/8 in. or 5/8-11 in. arbor holes.
“Matching the strength of zirconia grain with the flexibility of cotton backing, provides the end user with an effective alternative for working on contoured applications,” said Joe O’Mera, president, CGW-Camel Grinding Wheels.
