Weldcraft’s (www.weldcraft.com) Triad is for preparing tungsten for both orbital and hand-held TTG applications. The grinder features precision-drilled entries and accommodates six different tungsten electrode diameters – 0.040 in., 0.0625 in., 0.078 in., 0.094 in., 0.125 in. and 0.156 in. – and offers four different grinding angles (15 degrees, 18 degrees, 22.5 degrees and 30 degrees) for reliable arc starting and good weld penetration. It also has an industrial-grade motor for consistent cutting and facing capabilities (to 0.156 in.) to eliminate the need and cost for additional tungsten preparation tools.

Triad ships in a sturdy steel carrying case with a durable powdercoated finish and compartmentalized interior. It also includes a highquality standard dual-sided diamond-coated grinding wheel that, according to the company, provides reliable, long-term performance and minimizes costs and downtime for replacement. Each tungsten grinder includes an electrode holder to ease tungsten rotation and reduce the potential for flat spots, along with a machine holder that allows Triad to be bench mounted for shop use.
