Airgas, Inc. (www.airgas.com) acquired Lehner & Martin, Inc., an industrial gas and welding supply distributor based in Santa Ana, Calif., with branches in Placentia, Gardena, and Chino, Calif. The acquisition was completed July 2.

Lehner & Martin generated sales of more than $13 million in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2007, and its operations have been integrated into Airgas West, one of the regional companies that make up Airgas' distribution business.

Lehner & Martin was founded by Ken Lehner in 1975 and was managed by his son, Mark Lehner, who has joined Airgas West as an area vice president. Mark Lehner's brother Reid, and about 50 other Lehner & Martin employees also joined Airgas.

Airgas said in a prepared statement that the transaction is the fifth that it completed since the start of its 2008 fiscal year on April 1, 2007.
