Arcos Industries LLC (www.arcos.us) has introduced a covered electrode for welding nickel-copper alloys to themselves and to steel. The Arcos 9N10 electrode also can be used to clad steel joints with nickel-copper alloy and to surface steel with a nickel-copper weld metal. Arcos 9N10 is available in 0.094-in., 0.125-in., 0.156-in. and 0.187-in. diameters. The electrodes provide corrosion resistance in harsh conditions and are designed to weld base metals such as ASTM B127, B163, B164 and B165. Arcos 9N10 is particularly well suited for welding in salt, sea water and reducing acid environments.
