Dynabrade Inc. (www.dynabrade.com) has developed the Dynfile abrasive belt that machine grinds, deburrs, blends and finishes areas that are usually inaccessible on metal, plastic, fiberglass and other composites. Typical applications include light corner weld removal and blending of welds.

Farley LaserLab Cutting Systems (www.farleylaserlab.com) has introduced the Farley LaserLab Hercules Plate Working System that is designed to eliminate as many as three handling steps between the marking, drilling and cutting of parts.

Heck Industries Inc. (www.heckind.net) has added the Model 8000 Bevel-Mill plate beveller to its line of beveling equipment. The Model 8000 is designed for plate edge beveling for weld preparation and finish chamfering.

Laser Research Optics (www.laserresearch.com) has designed a line of ZnSe CO2 cylindrical lenses that focus light into one dimension only. The lenses produce astigmatism, stretching a 10.6-μm laser beam into a line shape and are offered with antireflective coatings to increase light transmission.

 

Consumables

Arcos Industries LLC (www.arcos.us) has introduced Arcos 1N12, a high nickel covered electrode designed for welding nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys to themselves and to steel. It also is suitable for welding 5 percent and 9 percent nickel steels for low temperature service.

Select-Arc Inc. (www.select-arc.com) has introduced three composite metal cored austenitic stainless steel electrodes – SelectAlloy 308L-C, 309L-C, and 316L-C designed to produce small butt, lap and fillet welds on thin material at high travel speeds.

 

Processes

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. (www.millerwelds.com) has introduced the Maxstar 350 DC TIG/Stick inverter with pulsing capabilities to 5,000 pluses per second and output of 5 amp to 350 amp. The unit features Miller's Auto-Line technology that allows it to be operated from any input power, 208 V to 575 V, single or three-phase.

MK Products (www.mkproducts.com) has introduced the CobraMig 400P, a pulsed MIG welding power source that allows for hard wire and aluminum welding when using the Cobramatic wire feed cabinet (Model 150-006).

Hypertherm Inc. (www.hypertherm.com) has introduced the Permax G3 Series plasma system that is equipped with either a standalone Sensor PHC (Plasma Height Control) of the Edge Ti CNC with integrated torch height control.

North Safety Products (www.northsafety.com) combined its Dyneema fiber and a polyurethane palm coating to create the ultralightweight NFD15 Light Task II glove that offers cut, tear and abrasion resistance with high dexterity and tactility.

Omrom Scientific Technologies Inc. (www.sti.com) offers the MiniSafe MS4800 series safety light curtains in advanced, standard and basic versions to meet a variety of machine guarding application requirements.

 

Automation

Winkle Industries (www.winkleindustries.com) has introduced a new line of OptiCon solid-state magnet controllers with integrated gated bi-polar transistors (IGBTs) designed for use with any magnet system.

AddisonMckee (www.addisonmckee.com) said its new ProdiMate automated production efficiency cell performs the often laborious operations within the tube manipulation environment and eliminates operator involvement in processes such as tube cutting or ram forming where safety can be an issue.
