Distributor donates $5K to Hobart welding institute

W.W. Grainger Inc. (www.grainger.com), a distributor of facilities maintenance supplies, will donate $5,000 to the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology (www.welding.org), a school dedicated to the training of welding technicians and inspectors. The money is to help the Hobart Institute buy equipment for its classrooms and training laboratories.

Grainger officials will present the check at Hobart's Troy, Ohio facility on Wednesday, March 7, 2007.

Grainger, based in the Chicago, Illinois area, operates about 400 locations across the country, including a Troy store opened last summer. The company provides corporate customers with heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment, along with hand and power tools, electrical and safety supplies.
