Image Industries Inc. (www.imageindustries.com) introduced a stud welder that that delivers 24 welds-per-minute, and has a stud capacity to ¹/4 in. steel and stainless steel. The safety features of the CD66 (Capacitor Discharge) Stud Welder include ground fault interruption (GFI) protection, a demand fan and thermal shutdown protection. Additional safety features include continuous system checks that will shut the unit down in the event of a component fault. The machine measures 10 ⁵/8 in. x 9 ¹¹/16 in. x 6 ⁷/8 in. (270 mm x 246 mm x 174 mm) and weighs 10.5 lbs. (4.76 kg). Its case is made from an ultra-high-impact copolymer that the company says provides extra insulation and resists rusting and denting.
