Kenneth Karwowski, a welder with more than 40 years of experience, won the Jesse James Multimaster 260 welding outfit from ESAB that was a prize at the first FabTech International/AWS Welding Show held at Chicago's at McCormick Place in Chicago last November. Karwowski also has spent 19 years teaching welding at Gateway Technical College in Elkhorn, Wis., and used the new equipment to teach his teenaged grandson, Nick Crifase, the basics of welding. Karwowski also is a Wisconsin structural weld tester and is chairman of his local AWS Section.
