BOC Group (www.boc.com) announced in early April that it planned to begin construction for a new air separation unit in Cartersville, Ga. The plant is expected to be in production by the third quarter of 2007.

The company said the plant is designed to cryogenically separate air to produce over 700 tons a day of liquid oxygen and nitrogen, to supply those gases to medical, industrial and food processing customers in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
